GOO Chemical's polymerization

GOO Chemical has arranged a line-up that can handle all processing methods and conditions through the integrated production of monomers driven by a polymerization technology for acrylic resin.
Coating agents that meet customers' painting requirements, such as roller coaters, gravure coating and flexographic coating, enable diverse methods of expression that include gloss, matte effects and embossed finishes.
It is possible to provide functions such as abrasion resistance, blocking resistance, slip characteristics, post-processing suitability, curl resistance, quasi-adhesiveness and barrier characteristics. Going forward, we will continue to develop original products that keep our customers' opinions at the forefront and meet that their needs.

Varnish for press processing

The AP series of varnish for press coatings consists of aqueous acrylic resins that transfer a mirror surface to printed paper through a heat press that uses a stainless plate with a mirror finish. This enables glossiness, crushability and mold release properties in line with our customers' equipment. We have arranged an extensive line-up that can meet various needs with abrasion resistance, slip properties, low-temperature press suitability, post-processing suitability, and others.

Vinyl varnish processing

The OP series of vinyl varnish protects the printed surface and provides both glossy and matte effects by coating aqueous varnish directly on the printed paper. Our extensive line-up can also provide abrasion resistance properties, slip properties, barrier properties, curl resistance, heat resistance and blister adhesion, depending on the objective.

Printing in-line varnish

The OP series of printing in-line varnish enables coating of aqueous varnish while simultaneously printing using a flexographic coater attached to the printing machine. It is also possible to provide a level of glossiness equivalent to press varnish by way of press processing for printed paper.
We have developed a wide-ranging line-up that enables excellent drying capability of the varnish, as well as anti-cracking, abrasion resistance, blocking resistance, and others. It also provides superior blanket wiping.

UV varnish

The OP series of varnish for UV coating provides aesthetic appeal by directly coating UV resin on the printed paper and hardening it directly with a UV lamp. It can also reproduce a detailed quasi-embossed finish as it reacts sharply to various epoxy inks, as well as ensuring a glossy finish. Our extensive range includes types that can be used with power-saving UV lamps that provide matte effects and have abrasion resistance, ruled line crack resistance and yellowing resistance properties.

Varnish for pressure bonding process

The OP series of varnish for the UV pressure bonding process provides quasi-adhesiveness to printed paper by coating and hardening a UV resin on printed paper. It is suitable for direct mail promotions, since the pressure bonded surface is glossy. It can also be used on matte paper as well as coated paper. Applications are endless, and include sales promotion lottery-type materials and PR materials. We have developed an extensive line-up that includes products that can be used on oil-based ink printed paper and UV printed paper, as well as an aqueous pressure bonding varnish.
